Disconnect YouTube
Disconnecting YouTube removes optx.media local token access for a connected channel and stops future publishing to that channel.
optx.media uses YouTube API Services for authorized creator workflows and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
Disconnect flow
Owners and admins can disconnect channels from the channel detail page. The action attempts server-side Google OAuth token revocation when a token is available, removes local encrypted OAuth token records, marks the channel disconnected, disables publishing, blocks future unuploaded publish jobs for that channel, and records audit events.
Publishing impact
Disconnected channels are marked unavailable and skipped by planner and upload checks until they are reconnected.
Reconnect
Reconnect from the channel detail page or workspace connect page when you want to restore authorized channel access. Reconnect replaces token records safely while preserving historical upload and audit records.
Historical records
Disconnecting a channel does not auto-delete Upload History, audit logs, or compliance records. Those records may be retained for security, abuse-prevention, legal, or YouTube API compliance review.
Google account revocation
Users can also revoke optx.media access directly from Google at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. Revoking in Google may require reconnecting the channel before future YouTube workflows can run. The Google path is useful if you want to remove access outside the optx.media app or confirm that Google account permissions no longer list optx.media.
In-app entry point
After signing in, open /channels, select a channel detail page, and use Disconnect YouTube channel. The same page provides a Reconnect channel action when access should be restored. Workspace archive and delete controls may also block or remove workspace-level publishing access, but channel disconnect remains the direct YouTube authorization control.
